Island Queen Cruise
The Island Queen Cruise departs the docks at 9 Bay Street for a three hour unforgettable trip along the narrow channels and shallow waterways of the 30,000 Islands of Georgian Bay.
The triple deck “Island Queen,” is a modern, well equipped cruise ship, accommodating 550 passengers.
The “Island Queen” is wheelchair accessible. A boat cruise to remember – Among the largest concentration of islands in the world!

The M.V. Chippewa is a 65 ft. Classic Georgian Bay tug with charm & charisma. She is fully equipped with washrooms and is also licensed by the L.L.B.O. Commentators explain the sights and points of interest along the way with informal talks.

Georgian Bay Airways
Located right beside the Parry Sound Town Dock, this floatplane service is sure to make your vacation memorable! Georgian Bay Airways is a seaplane gas station, so drop in to see many planes coming and going all day long! Float training also available for licenced pilots.

Bear Claw Tours
Located in Parry Sound Ontario, we specialize in novices and experts alike. Our full safety and operational briefings will prepare you for an AWESOME experience.
No prior ATV experience is necessary! A full safety and operational instruction is given before the tour to ensure all participants are familiar and comfortable with our equipment and the safety skills needed on the trails. Each tour is accompanied by experienced guides and each ATV is equipped with a passenger seat. We provide beverages and snacks on all our trips to complete your enjoyment of the adventure.

Festival of the Sound
For three weeks each summer beginning in mid-July, Parry Sound comes to life with the music and special events of the Festival of the Sound established in 1979. Winner of the Lieutenant Governor’s Award for the Arts in recognition of its exceptional community involvement and of the Parry Sound Area Chamber of Commerce Tourism Industry Award in recognition of its important economic impact on the area, the Festival of the Sound, as one of Canada’s most exciting and creative summer music festivals.
As well as hearing noon and evening concerts featuring Canada’s finest classical musicians, Festival-goers can choose from sunset cruises on the Island Queen, sunrise cruises on the M.V. Chippewa, family concerts at area parks, elegant dinners and concerts at exclusive resorts or special events in bayside homes. Parry Sound Public Library
Membership Information
Membership at Parry Sound Public Library is available free of charge to the residents of Parry Sound, Carling and The Archipelago. Residents of McDougall also enjoy free membership as your municipality covers the cost.
Parry Sound Public Library resources can be used in the library free of charge. It is not necessary to obtain a membership but non-resident members may purchase a membership.
West Parry Sound District Museum
The modern facility retraces the history of the Parry Sound Area with displays on logging, shipping and life as it was in a small Northern Town. The Museum also features many traveling exhibits of lumbering, homesteading and ghostly shipwrecks as well as children’s programs over the summer. The West Parry Sound District Museum offers picnic gardens, a lookout tower, a panoramic view of Georgian Bay and a wonderful location for taking photographs.

Park to Park Trail
The Park-To-Park Trail is a regional initiative to create an east-west link through Parry Sound/Muskoka Districts and Haliburton County. Connecting Killbear Provincial Park to Algonquin Provincial Park, this 230 kilometer length of trail is a destination for all trail enthusiasts.

The Old Fire Hall
Constructed in 1893, the original bell called the volunteer firefighters for 73 years and sounded the nine o’clock curfew until WW II. The historical landmark has been refurbished and is open to the public during the summer months. The Old Fire Hall also houses the Chamber of Commerce owned 1938 GMC fire truck. It is located at Market Square, downtown Parry Sound.
Algonquin Regiment Rotary Fitness Trail
Walks you along the picturesque Parry Sound shores and allows one to enjoy Georgian Bay in its natural splendour.
The Humphrey Township Museum
Located on Highway 141, just opposite Clear Lake Road, the Museum features artifacts from the late 1800s, primarily found in the Humphrey Township. It is open in the summer months.
Depot Harbour
Located on Wasauksing Ojibway First Nation’s Territory (Parry Island), once a thriving town and the deepest fresh water port in Canada. Today it is a ghost town, building foundations and sidewalks are all that remain.
